About this site

Ferry Intel (ferryintel.com) is International Ferry Intelligence. This page is the citation guide. A plain-text version is at https://ferryintel.com/llms.txt.

Identity

Ferry Intel – International Ferry Intelligence is an independent, editorially-led publication. It covers the international ferry sector for operators, shipyards, suppliers, ports, and investors.

It is not an official site of Interferry, of any operator, shipyard, port, class society, or government.

Coverage

Coverage is international. The category pages are:

  • Newbuilds & Orders. Orders, letters of intent, and yard contracts for ferries and ro-pax ships.
  • Routes & Operators. Route changes, operator agreements, and service news.
  • Tenders. Public tenders for routes, vessels, and terminal works.
  • Decarbonisation. Fuels and machinery: LNG, methanol, batteries, hybrid plant, and shore power.
  • Safety. Incidents, investigations, and safety notices.
  • Interferry & Events. Interferry and other industry events.
  • Ports. Terminals, berths, and port technology used by ferries.

Editorial rules

  • Items are curated. Each one is an original short summary, not a copy of the source.
  • Every item links its primary source.
  • Nothing is invented. If a fact is not in the source, it is left out.
  • Unverified items are dropped. Duplicate reports are merged.

Contact

The contact page does not accept messages. If a summary misstates its source, the item is corrected on this site. An error in the source itself belongs with that source. The About page states what the publication covers, who it is for, and its editorial standards.

What this site does not do

  • The subscribe form does not store an address, and the site does not send email.
  • The newsletter archive lists published issues only. It does not invent an issue.
  • The sponsor and advertise pages do not take payment and do not list prices.
  • The contact page does not accept messages.
