Fjord Line said on 18 September 2026 that the number of Danish passengers on its ferries from Hirtshals to Kristiansand, Stavanger and Bergen rose by 11 percent in the winter season 2025/26, compared with the same period the year before. The company said it expects that number to increase in the coming season.
Chief executive Heidi Nag Flikka said Norway is a clear winter favourite among Danes, and that the traffic brings activity to communities across southern Norway. The release says figures from Visit Norway show that, in January and February 2026, Denmark accounted for the largest share of international overnight stays in Norway, and that most of those guests came to ski.
