Notice 663218-2026, published on 25 September 2026, is a prior information notice from Arendal kommune. It says the port of Arendal is to facilitate the start of ferry operations between Arendal and Eemshaven in the Netherlands.

The notice says a complete terminal is needed, including ground works, water and sewage installations, electrical works and outdoor measures, and a building for customs functions, terminal buildings and check-in, with infrastructure for security and monitoring. It says the RORO ramp has already been established, and that this contract covers the remaining works required for the terminal to be in use. The notice says the terminal is for ferry traffic for wagon trains, passenger cars and walking.

The estimated overall contract amount in the notice is NOK 35,000,000. The notice says the work is divided into four procurements, announced at different times: ground works, hire of modules, a steel building for customs functions, and a mobile lift and ramp. It says the first of those, the subject of this notice, is planned to be announced first and will mainly be ground works, including line-up surfaces, internal roads, water and sewage, lighting and cable installations, and outdoor elements such as signage, railings and barriers. The notice says the contract documentation for that ground-works procurement will be NS 8406.

The notice says the development period will be from March 2027, with completion in April 2028. It says there may be adjustments to the procurements until the final announcements are available. The hire of modules is described as a contract for 3 years with an option for 1+1 year.
