Fullers360 said on 12 October 2026 that Priority tickets will be available on all regular Waiheke Island sailings from Monday 19 October 2026. A Priority ticket is a booked sailing with access to a Priority Lane at Downtown Auckland and Matiatia, and the company said the ticket is pre-scanned before boarding begins so passengers can go straight on. Return tickets are $75 for adults, $32 for children or $155 for a family. Children under 5 are free. One-way fares are $37.50 for an adult and $16 for a child. The Priority Lane closes 10 minutes before departure. The company said passengers who already hold a Standard Walk-up ticket can currently upgrade to Priority before travel at a POS site on the wharf at Downtown Auckland or Matiatia.
The Waiheke Walk-up ticket has been renamed Standard Walk-up. Fullers360 said nothing else is changing: passengers turn up and board the next available sailing, and the ticket is valid for 12 months. Standard Walk-up and Priority customers travel on the same ferry.
From Monday 19 October, the Residents' Lane becomes the Priority Lane. Resident card holders can use the Priority Lane free of charge on all regular sailings, all day, not just during the busy visitor season. The Priority Lane boards in full before the Standard Walk-up Lane opens.
Waiheke Reserve remains a bookable sailing with a guaranteed seat on its own dedicated ferry. From 19 October, Reserve will run one return trip each day, out to Waiheke Island and back to Auckland.
