Nova Shipyard in Yalova, Turkey, has launched Inis Oirr Express, the second and final vessel in a two-ship series for French operator Vedettes Jolie France. The first, Jolie France, was launched in April 2025. The 31-metre aluminium passenger ferry is classed by Bureau Veritas, carries 295 passengers and cruises at 20 knots. It has IMO Tier III engines, exhaust gas cleaning and a blackwater treatment system, which the yard says matters for protecting nearby oyster beds. The ship will head to its new home after sea trials. The design is by French firm Mer et Design, and Nova previously delivered the near-identical Cliffs of Moher Express to Ireland's Doolin Ferry in May 2025.
