Valmet said on 3 November 2026 that TT-Line has selected it to deliver marine automation systems for two new Green Ship 2.0 ferries being built at China Merchants Jinling Shipyard. The new 240-meter ferries are designed to carry 1,000 people. They feature LNG-hybrid propulsion combined with battery systems and are capable of using shore power. The scope also includes remote support, maintenance services, software upgrades, training and spare parts.
Andreas Schaerli, COO of TT-Line, said: “For these two new ferries, we selected Valmet based on proven performance, project delivery capability, and lifecycle support.”
