Channel 103 reported on 4 November 2026 that Stena Vinga has served Jersey for the last time before a change of ownership and a rebrand. DFDS now owns the conventional ferry and is painting it in the company’s livery. The operator announced the purchase from Stena Line in May. The ship has been used on the Jersey–Portsmouth route since DFDS took over the ferry contract in March 2025.
The vessel is 125 metres long and can carry 400 passengers and 200 cars. It has a freight capacity of 1500 lane meters. It was built in 2005 and has 40 cabins, a restaurant, a duty-free shop, a cinema and a recliner lounge. Relief vessel Cote D'Albatre is on the Portsmouth route until Stena Vinga is due to return later this month, renamed Corbiere Seaways. The name was chosen in a public poll. In dry dock the ship will also be switched to the UK registry and will fly the Red Ensign.
