Viking Line Abp published its business review for January–September 2026 on 22 October 2026. The board now estimates that income before taxes for the 2026 financial year will be below previous expectations and significantly lower than in 2025, because of continued high energy prices and their effect on the group's cost base. It had previously estimated that higher energy prices and weaker results from associated companies would leave income before taxes lower than in 2025.

For 1 July–30 September 2026, sales increased by 1.6% to EUR 154.9 million (EUR 152.5 million). Operating income was EUR 25.5 million (EUR 28.7 million). Income after taxes was EUR 25.1 million (EUR 29.3 million). Operating expenses increased by 7.1% to EUR 91.0 million (EUR 84.9 million), of which fuel and emission allowance costs were EUR 21.8 million (EUR 14.8 million).

President and CEO Marcus Risberg said: "The underlying business developed in line with the comparison period, while persistently high energy prices continued to weigh on earnings."

For January–September, sales were EUR 368.9 million (EUR 368.3 million) and income after taxes was EUR 6.4 million (EUR 12.0 million). Passengers on the group's wholly owned vessels numbered 3,557,522 (3,576,893). Cargo volumes were 100,719 cargo units (104,666).
